[内容简介]
Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output (MIMO) is a very ‘hot’ communication method that is key to developing the next generation of 3G (3.5/ Super3G) and 4th Generation systems. It is estimated that MIMO’s use in the new 802.11n standard, to be finalized the beginning of 2007, will offer eight times the coverage and six times the speed of current 802.11g networks. However, the performance potential of MIMO is very dependent on linking propagation and signal processing in a ‘cross layer approach’. Books currently published either focus on space-time coding or on the algorithms of MIMO, failing in the process to examine the link between the channel and the signal code. Our book will be first to do this and will therefore be at the cutting edge of the next phase of MIMO development
